  • Sunset over a serene river surrounded by lush green trees and vegetation, with reflections visible on the water's surface.

    Accountability Groups

We offer weekly group sessions to help participants examine their beliefs and behaviors in relationships. There are exercises, activities, and discussions to help participants take meaningful responsibility for abuse and build new skills for healthier relationships.

    Individual Therapy

We believe counseling should be accessible to all. Participants can pair counseling with group work to dig deeper into their patterns and heal from their own traumas. We also offer a counseling intervention for young adults who have engaged in sexual harm.

    Restorative Approaches

At Beyond Harm, we offer restorative dialogues, circles, survivor panels, and other practices in conjunction with accountability work. We use restorative approaches at our discretion to ensure it is safe, voluntary, and appropriate.

    Case Management

While abuse is not caused by stress, life stressors can escalate an abusive situation. We support our participants in their change process through comprehensive case management to address barriers to program success and to help resource their lives.

    Parenting

Many people who abuse their partners want to be good parents. They often do not realize the long-lasting damage that witnessing violence has on children. We offer parenting classes and co-parenting support specific to domestic abuse. In the future we hope to offer supervised and therapeutic supervision for those in custody cases.

    Community/Prevention

Abuse doesn’t happen in a vacuum, our communities and societal norms allow and perpetuate it. We offer training and holds spaces to build capacity among families, neighbors, organizations, workplaces, and communities to understand and address interpersonal violence and support healthier relationships.
