Training: Abuse Intervention

Do you have clients or loved ones using violence? Not sure how to respond? Curious what abuse intervention looks like? Come learn from Beyond Harm, a survivor-centered nonprofit dedicated to interrupting cycles of domestic and sexual violence in New Orleans. This training cover history of intervention, various models & approaches, best practices and ethical challenges in the field.

This training is approved for 2.5 CEUs (1.5 general & 1 ethics) for social workers, 2.25 general CLEs for attorneys and 2.5 CEUs for LPCs.

It will take place in-person at our office: 223 N Rendon St., New Orleans 70119.

Community Happy Hour

Join us Friday evening for a Community Happy Hour! Pop by to see our space and learn about Beyond Harm. Eat, drink (everything will be free/donation based), listen to music and meet our awesome staff and other community members! Event will be held primarily outside in our parking lot (weather permitting) and also include a raffle and our in-house DJ. Everyone welcome—can’t wait to see you there!

Did you know certain crime survivors, and loved ones of victims, can qualify for up to $5000 in free therapy?

This training will teach you about the Louisiana Crime Victims Reparations (CVR) Program, who qualifies, and how to support your qualifying clients in applying for counseling reimbursement through the CVR program.

Help us build community capacity for crime survivors to access mental health treatment to support their healing journey, while you get paid a fair rate!
